Welcome to Croydon and thank you for the interest you have shown in the opportunity of Learning & Organisational Development Business Partner.
This is a genuinely exciting time to join Croydon Council and play a pivotal role in one of the most significant workforce transformation programmes in local government.
As part of our Workforce Strategy team, and the wider HR and Organisational Development function, you will help shape the future capability, culture and leadership of the organisation. We are transforming how we support our people, modernising our services, and building a high-performing, inclusive culture that enables our workforce to deliver outstanding outcomes for residents.
As our Learning & Organisational Development Business Partner, you will lead the development and delivery of a corporate learning and organisational development strategy that drives organisational transformation. Working closely with senior leaders, the Executive Leadership Team, Heads of Service and transformation colleagues, you will design and implement innovative learning, leadership, culture and change interventions that build organisational capability and support the delivery of our Future Croydon transformation ambitions.
This is a strategic leadership role with significant influence. You will have the opportunity to shape how learning happens across the organisation, champion modern approaches to workforce development, and ensure our investment in people delivers measurable improvements in performance, engagement and service delivery.
As Head of Workforce Strategy, I am looking for an experienced organisational development professional who:
- Brings expertise in organisational development, learning, leadership and culture change.
- Has a proven track record of delivering workforce transformation programmes.
- Can confidently influence and challenge senior stakeholders in a complex environment.
- Thinks creatively and embraces innovation to solve organisational challenges.
- Is passionate about developing people, creating inclusive workplaces and driving lasting change.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by making a tangible difference.
In return, you will join an ambitious and supportive team, work alongside talented colleagues across the organisation, and have the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy on the future of Croydon Council.
Ready to help shape the future of Croydon? Join us at a pivotal moment in our transformation journey and play a leading role in developing the capability, culture and leadership that will deliver better outcomes for our residents. If you’re an ambitious and innovative L&OD professional looking to make a lasting impact, we would love to hear from you.
Thank you for your interest in working at Croydon I’d like to wish you all the best with your application.
